Nestled in the heart of Hawks Nest, Bennetts Beach is renowned for its pristine sands and inviting waters. As one of the custodians of this natural wonder, TGHNSLSC is committed to beach safety and education. Learn about our surf rescue training programs, beach safety tips, and how we maintain a safe environment for everyone to enjoy the beauty of our local coastline.
Bennetts Beach is the 11 kilometres stretch of coast line from the Little Gibber on the fringes of Mongo Brush Nation Park in the north to the Yacaaba Headland to the south. The beach is renowned for its many dolphins. It is popular with surfboard riders, swimmers and walkers.
How to get here
Car
Easy 2 hour drive north along the Pacific Hwy from Sydney.
Air
Flights to Newcastle then a 40 minute drive north along the Pacific Hwy.
Bus
Regular bus service from Newcastle and Taree.

Life Saving Services
Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Surf Life Saving Club is situated 3k north of Yacaaba Headland. Life saving services are provided by members of the TGHNSLSC each Saturday and Sunday and public holidays from late September to late April each summer season. Services are provided within the immediate area in front of the Clubhouse.
Mid Coast Council provide lifeguard services to patrol this section of the beach Monday to Friday during the December- January and March- April school holidays.
